### sec.21 Appointment of insurance manager
There is to be an insurance manager of the commission.
The commission must—
appoint an individual to be the insurance manager; or
enter into a work performance arrangement under which an employee of the employing office or of another government entity holds office as the insurance manager.
If the commission appoints a person to be the insurance manager under subsection (2) (a) , the remuneration and conditions of appointment of the insurance manager are to be decided by the commission.
The commission may appoint a person to act, or enter into a work performance arrangement under which an employee of the employing office or of another government entity acts, as insurance manager of the commission—
when there is a vacancy in the position of insurance manager of the commission; or
for any period, or all periods, when the insurance manager is absent from duty or, for any other reason, can not perform the functions of the position.

(sec.21-ssec.1) There is to be an insurance manager of the commission.
(sec.21-ssec.2) The commission must— appoint an individual to be the insurance manager; or enter into a work performance arrangement under which an employee of the employing office or of another government entity holds office as the insurance manager.
(sec.21-ssec.3) If the commission appoints a person to be the insurance manager under subsection (2) (a) , the remuneration and conditions of appointment of the insurance manager are to be decided by the commission.
(sec.21-ssec.4) The commission may appoint a person to act, or enter into a work performance arrangement under which an employee of the employing office or of another government entity acts, as insurance manager of the commission— when there is a vacancy in the position of insurance manager of the commission; or for any period, or all periods, when the insurance manager is absent from duty or, for any other reason, can not perform the functions of the position.
- (a) appoint an individual to be the insurance manager; or
- (b) enter into a work performance arrangement under which an employee of the employing office or of another government entity holds office as the insurance manager.
- (a) when there is a vacancy in the position of insurance manager of the commission; or
