### sec.108C False or misleading document
A person must not give an official a document containing information the person knows is false or misleading in a material particular.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
Subsection (1) does not apply to a person if the person, when giving the document—
tells the official, to the best of the person’s ability, how it is false or misleading; and
if the person has, or can reasonably obtain, the correct information, gives the correct information.
A person must not make an entry in a document required or permitted to be made or kept under this Act knowing the entry to be false or misleading in a material particular.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
This section does not apply to a document to which section 53B applies.
In this section—
official means—
the commission; or
an investigator performing a function or exercising a power under this Act.
