### sec.33 Appointment The academy must have a chief executive officer. The chief executive officer is appointed by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Minister. The Minister may not recommend a person for appointment as the chief executive officer unless the Minister has consulted the board about the appointment of the person. The chief executive officer is appointed under this Act and not the Public Sector Act 2022 . The chief executive officer is accountable to the board.
