### sec.159E When office ends
The office of a person as an enforcement officer ends if any of the following happens—
the term of office stated in a condition of office ends;
under another condition of office, the office ends;
for an officer who is a contracted debt collector appointed under section 159C (a) —the officer ceases to be a contracted debt collector;
for an officer appointed under section 159C (b) —the officer ceases to be the sheriff, deputy sheriff or bailiff of a court;
the officer’s resignation under section 159F takes effect.
Subsection (1) does not limit the ways the office of a person as an enforcement officer ends.
In this section—
condition of office means a condition under which the enforcement officer holds office.

(sec.159E-ssec.2) Subsection (1) does not limit the ways the office of a person as an enforcement officer ends.
(sec.159E-ssec.3) In this section— condition of office means a condition under which the enforcement officer holds office.
- (a) the term of office stated in a condition of office ends;
- (b) under another condition of office, the office ends;
- (c) for an officer who is a contracted debt collector appointed under section 159C (a) —the officer ceases to be a contracted debt collector;
- (d) for an officer appointed under section 159C (b) —the officer ceases to be the sheriff, deputy sheriff or bailiff of a court;
- (e) the officer’s resignation under section 159F takes effect.
