### sec.246 Chairperson The chairperson of the council is the chief executive of the department in which the Parliament of Queensland Act 2001 is administered. The chairperson may appoint another member to act as chairperson in the chairperson’s absence. The chairperson may appoint 1 or more chief executives or special commissioners as members for a period decided by the council.
