### sec.8AZA Power to control movement of persons
This section applies to a person who is in the authorisation area.
An emergency situation officer may direct the person—
not to enter a stated place in the authorisation area; or
to go to, or stay at or in, a stated place in the authorisation area.
When an emergency situation officer is satisfied a direction given under subsection (2) is no longer reasonably necessary for a purpose mentioned in section 8AZ (1) (a) , the officer must ensure the direction is withdrawn.
A person given a direction under subsection (2) is not, for that reason only, under arrest or in the custody of a police officer for the purposes of the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 .
A direction given under subsection (2) is not an enforcement act under the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 .

(sec.8AZA-ssec.1) This section applies to a person who is in the authorisation area.
