### sec.14 Extension of CBR emergency beyond 7 days
A regulation may extend, or further extend, the period of a CBR emergency.
A regulation made for the purposes of this section commences on the day it is made whether or not it is notified on that day.
Also, a regulation extending the period of a CBR emergency expires 14 days after the start of the initial period of the emergency unless it is sooner repealed or expires under section 15 (4) .
In addition, a regulation further extending the period of a CBR emergency must state the period, of not more than 14 days, by which the emergency is extended.
Subsection (2) applies despite the Statutory Instruments Act 1992 , section 32 .
