### sec.65 Membership
The advisory group has the membership decided by the archivist.
However, the archivist must ensure the advisory group consists of—
only persons who are Aboriginal persons or Torres Strait Islander persons; and
at least 1 Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person appointed to the committee under section 50 (2) (e) or (f) .
A person holds office as a member of the advisory group for the term and on the conditions—
decided by the archivist; and
stated in the person’s instrument of appointment.
A member of the advisory group may be paid the remuneration and allowances decided by the archivist.
(sec.65-ssec.1) The advisory group has the membership decided by the archivist.
(sec.65-ssec.2) However, the archivist must ensure the advisory group consists of— only persons who are Aboriginal persons or Torres Strait Islander persons; and at least 1 Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person appointed to the committee under section 50 (2) (e) or (f) .

(sec.65-ssec.4) A member of the advisory group may be paid the remuneration and allowances decided by the archivist.
- (a) only persons who are Aboriginal persons or Torres Strait Islander persons; and
- (b) at least 1 Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person appointed to the committee under section 50 (2) (e) or (f) .
- (a) decided by the archivist; and
- (b) stated in the person’s instrument of appointment.
