### sec.37 Requirement for compulsory retirement suspended
While, pursuant to this part—
it is not competent to an officer on suspension to retire or resign from public office; or
a notice of retirement is ineffective;
a provision of any Act or law that requires the holder of an office to retire upon attaining a particular age or to resign for any reason does not apply to that officer on suspension.
