### sec.77 Confidentiality of information
This section applies if a person gained confidential information because of the person’s involvement as a public officer in the administration of the repealed Act.
The person is taken to have gained the information because of the person’s involvement as a public officer in the new Act’s administration.
The person may make a record of the confidential information, or disclose it to someone else, under section 65(3) of the new Act, even if the person gained the information before the commencement.
In this section—
public officer includes a former member of the former misconduct tribunal established under the repealed Misconduct Tribunals Act 1997 , section 11 .
(sec.77-ssec.1) This section applies if a person gained confidential information because of the person’s involvement as a public officer in the administration of the repealed Act.
(sec.77-ssec.2) The person is taken to have gained the information because of the person’s involvement as a public officer in the new Act’s administration.
