### sec.37 Inquiries into application for licence
Before deciding the application, the local government—
may make inquiries to decide the suitability of—
the applicant to hold a licence; and
the premises for providing higher risk personal appearance services; and
may, by notice given to the applicant, require the applicant to give the local government within the reasonable time of at least 40 days stated in the notice, further information or a document the local government reasonably requires to decide the application.
The applicant is taken to have withdrawn the application if, within the stated time, the applicant does not comply with a requirement under subsection (1) (b) .
A notice under subsection (1) (b) must be given to the applicant within 40 days after the local government receives the application.
The information or document under subsection (1) (b) must, if the notice requires, be verified by a statutory declaration.

- (b) may, by notice given to the applicant, require the applicant to give the local government within the reasonable time of at least 40 days stated in the notice, further information or a document the local government reasonably requires to decide the application.
