### sec.430 Appointment and qualifications
The chief executive may appoint any of the following persons as a State analyst—
a public service officer or an employee of the department;
a health service employee;
a person prescribed under a regulation.
However, the chief executive may appoint a person as a State analyst only if the chief executive is satisfied the person is qualified for appointment because the person has the necessary expertise or experience.
(sec.430-ssec.1) The chief executive may appoint any of the following persons as a State analyst— a public service officer or an employee of the department; a health service employee; a person prescribed under a regulation.
