### sec.344 Procedure before entry
This section applies to an emergency officer intending to enter a place to respond to a declared public health emergency.
Before entering the place, the emergency officer must do or make a reasonable attempt to do the following things—
seek an occupier’s consent to the entry;
tell the occupier the emergency officer is permitted to enter the place to respond to a declared public health emergency;
give the occupier an opportunity to allow the emergency officer immediate entry to the place without using force.
However, the emergency officer need not comply with subsection (2) if the emergency officer believes on reasonable grounds that immediate entry to the place is required to effectively respond to the declared public health emergency.
(sec.344-ssec.1) This section applies to an emergency officer intending to enter a place to respond to a declared public health emergency.
(sec.344-ssec.2) Before entering the place, the emergency officer must do or make a reasonable attempt to do the following things— seek an occupier’s consent to the entry; tell the occupier the emergency officer is permitted to enter the place to respond to a declared public health emergency; give the occupier an opportunity to allow the emergency officer immediate entry to the place without using force.

- (a) seek an occupier’s consent to the entry;
- (b) tell the occupier the emergency officer is permitted to enter the place to respond to a declared public health emergency;
- (c) give the occupier an opportunity to allow the emergency officer immediate entry to the place without using force.
