### sec.99 Property agent and resident letting agent must not act for more than 1 party
A property agent or resident letting agent must not act for more than 1 party to a transaction.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
If a property agent or resident letting agent acts for more than 1 party to a transaction, an appointment to act for a party to the transaction is ineffective from the time it is made.
If the transaction is an exchange of property, a property agent does not contravene subsection (1) , and subsection (2) does not apply to the extent that the agent acts for each of the parties to the transaction.
(sec.99-ssec.1) A property agent or resident letting agent must not act for more than 1 party to a transaction. Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
(sec.99-ssec.2) If a property agent or resident letting agent acts for more than 1 party to a transaction, an appointment to act for a party to the transaction is ineffective from the time it is made.
(sec.99-ssec.3) If the transaction is an exchange of property, a property agent does not contravene subsection (1) , and subsection (2) does not apply to the extent that the agent acts for each of the parties to the transaction.
