### sec.61 Construction of expressions used in deeds and other documents
In a deed, contract, will or other document, unless the context otherwise requires—
the term month means calendar month; and
the term person includes an individual and a corporation; and
words indicating a gender include each other gender; and
words in the singular include the plural and words in the plural include the singular.
A covenant, power or term implied in a deed, contract, will, or other document under this Act or another Act must be construed under subsection (1) .
(sec.61-ssec.1) In a deed, contract, will or other document, unless the context otherwise requires— the term month means calendar month; and the term person includes an individual and a corporation; and words indicating a gender include each other gender; and words in the singular include the plural and words in the plural include the singular.
(sec.61-ssec.2) A covenant, power or term implied in a deed, contract, will, or other document under this Act or another Act must be construed under subsection (1) .
- (a) the term month means calendar month; and
- (b) the term person includes an individual and a corporation; and
- (c) words indicating a gender include each other gender; and
- (d) words in the singular include the plural and words in the plural include the singular.
