### sec.43 Adjournment or stay of co-ownership proceeding—family law proceeding
The court may adjourn or stay a proceeding under subdivision 2 or 3 in relation to property at any time before it has made a final order if a co-owner starts, or has started, a family law proceeding in relation to the property.
Also, the court may adjourn a proceeding under subdivision 2 or 3 in relation to property at any time before it has made a final order to allow a co-owner of the property to start a family law proceeding.
This section does not limit or otherwise affect the power of the court to grant or refuse an adjournment or stay in relation to a proceeding.
In this section—
family law proceeding means a proceeding under the Family Law Act 1975 (Cwlth) .
(sec.43-ssec.1) The court may adjourn or stay a proceeding under subdivision 2 or 3 in relation to property at any time before it has made a final order if a co-owner starts, or has started, a family law proceeding in relation to the property.
(sec.43-ssec.2) Also, the court may adjourn a proceeding under subdivision 2 or 3 in relation to property at any time before it has made a final order to allow a co-owner of the property to start a family law proceeding.
(sec.43-ssec.3) This section does not limit or otherwise affect the power of the court to grant or refuse an adjournment or stay in relation to a proceeding.
(sec.43-ssec.4) In this section— family law proceeding means a proceeding under the Family Law Act 1975 (Cwlth) .
