### sec.80 Functions of board
The functions of the board are as follows—
to assess applications made to it under this Act;
to register persons who are eligible for registration and issue certificates of registration;
to conduct, or authorise, investigations about the professional conduct of registered professional engineers and contraventions of this Act;
to approve a program to audit registered professional engineers under part 2B ;
to keep the register;
to advise the Minister about—
eligibility requirements for persons applying for registration, or renewal or restoration of registration; and
the suitability of assessment schemes for approval; and
the operation of this Act in its application to the practice of engineering;
to review the eligibility requirements mentioned in paragraph (f) (i) ;
to perform other functions given to the board under this or another Act;
to perform a function incidental to a function mentioned in paragraphs (a) to (h) .
The board must, at least once every 2 years, review the eligibility requirements mentioned in subsection (1) (f) (i) .

- (ii) the suitability of assessment schemes for approval; and
- (iii) the operation of this Act in its application to the practice of engineering;
- (g) to review the eligibility requirements mentioned in paragraph (f) (i) ;
- (h) to perform other functions given to the board under this or another Act;
