### sec.601 Power to require information
This section applies if—
a police officer is helping a coroner to investigate a death; and
the officer reasonably believes a person may be able to give information relevant to the investigation.
The officer may require the person to give information relevant to the investigation.
When making the requirement, the officer must inform the person that the person may—
fail to give the information if the information would tend to incriminate the person; and
seek legal advice before giving the information.

(sec.601-ssec.1) This section applies if— a police officer is helping a coroner to investigate a death; and the officer reasonably believes a person may be able to give information relevant to the investigation.
(sec.601-ssec.2) The officer may require the person to give information relevant to the investigation.
(sec.601-ssec.3) When making the requirement, the officer must inform the person that the person may— fail to give the information if the information would tend to incriminate the person; and seek legal advice before giving the information.

- (b) the officer reasonably believes a person may be able to give information relevant to the investigation.
