### sec.600 Dealing with seized things
This section applies if a police officer seizes something under—
section 597 (4) ; or
a search warrant issued under section 599 .
Having seized something, the officer may—
move the thing from the place; or
leave the thing at the place, but take reasonable action to restrict access to it; or
sealing a thing and marking it to show access to it is restricted
sealing the entrance to a room where the thing is situated and marking it to show access to it is restricted
deal with the thing in another way that a coroner directs.
If the police officer restricts access to a seized thing, a person must not tamper, or attempt to tamper, with the thing, or something restricting access to the thing, without the approval of a police officer.
Maximum penalty—120 penalty units.

(sec.600-ssec.1) This section applies if a police officer seizes something under— section 597 (4) ; or a search warrant issued under section 599 .
