### sec.544 Appeal against disease test order
A relevant person may appeal against a disease test order to the District Court.
The appeal—
must be filed without delay; and
does not stay the operation of the disease test order, unless the court otherwise orders.
The court may not order a stay of a disease test order of more than 48 hours from the time the order appealed against is made.
The court must hear and decide the appeal—
within 48 hours after the order appealed against is made; and
in the absence of the public; and
without adjourning the appeal.
If the relevant person, or the relevant person’s lawyer, is present when the appeal is being heard, the relevant person or the lawyer may make submissions to the court, but not submissions that will unduly delay the consideration of the appeal.
The court may allow or refuse to allow the appeal.
