### sec.527 Unlawful supply of DNA sample
A person must not unlawfully supply a DNA sample to another person for DNA analysis for the purpose of including the results of the analysis in QDNA or the ACC database.
Maximum penalty—2 years imprisonment.
In this section—
a DNA sample means a DNA sample that is not related to the performance at any time of a function of the police service or a function authorised under this chapter.
