### sec.497 Commissioner may authorise police officer to perform non-medical examinations The commissioner may authorise a police officer to perform non-medical examinations. However, the commissioner may authorise a police officer only if the commissioner is satisfied the police officer— has the necessary experience or expertise to be able to perform the examinations; or has satisfactorily completed a course of training approved by the commissioner for the purpose. s 497 ins 2003 No. 49 s 10 (sec.497-ssec.1) The commissioner may authorise a police officer to perform non-medical examinations.
