### sec.271 Responsibilities on development applicants
This section applies to a person who makes an affected area development application for premises.
Within 20 business days after making the application, the person must give the registrar of titles a notice asking the registrar to keep a record that this part applies to the premises.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
Within 20 business days after the application lapses, is refused or is withdrawn, the person must give the registrar of titles a notice asking the registrar to remove the record.
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
