### sec.270 Responsibilities of owners of affected premises
This section applies to the owner of premises, other than registered premises, in an affected area.
The owner or the owner’s agent must, before entering into a lease of the premises with a person, give the person a notice that states—
the premises are in an affected area; and
that restrictions may apply to the person in taking proceedings about emissions from registered premises in the affected area.
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
In this section—
lease means an agreement under which the owner gives a person the right to occupy the premises in exchange for money or other valuable consideration.
(sec.270-ssec.1) This section applies to the owner of premises, other than registered premises, in an affected area.
(sec.270-ssec.2) The owner or the owner’s agent must, before entering into a lease of the premises with a person, give the person a notice that states— the premises are in an affected area; and that restrictions may apply to the person in taking proceedings about emissions from registered premises in the affected area.
