sec.775Application of div 7

### sec.775 Application of div 7 This division applies if— an inspector or authorised officer damages something when exercising, or purporting to exercise, a power; or a person helping an inspector or authorised officer to exercise, or purporting to exercise, the inspector’s or authorised officer’s powers damages something. However, this division does not apply to damage the inspector or authorised officer reasonably considers is trivial or if the inspector or officer reasonably believes— there is no-one apparently in possession of the thing; or the thing has been abandoned. (sec.775-ssec.1) This division applies if— an inspector or authorised officer damages something when exercising, or purporting to exercise, a power; or a person helping an inspector or authorised officer to exercise, or purporting to exercise, the inspector’s or authorised officer’s powers damages something.
