### sec.557 Obligation to comply with Act and prescribed standards The holder of a petroleum authority must— comply with this Act; and in carrying out an authorised activity for the authority, comply with— any standard that the authority provides for the activity; and to the extent that the authority does not provide a standard for the activity—any standard prescribed under a regulation for carrying out the activity. In this section— standard includes an Australian Standard, an international standard or a code or protocol.
