### sec.481 Continuing effect of licence for renewal application This section applies if the term of the licence ends before the application is decided. Despite the ending of the term, the licence continues in force until the earlier of the following to happen— the start of any renewed term of the licence; or a refusal of the application takes effect; or the application is withdrawn; or the licence is cancelled under this Act. If the licence is renewed, subsection (2) is taken never to have applied for the period from the end of the term of the licence being renewed, as stated in that licence. s 481 amd 2011 No. 2 s 121 (sec.481-ssec.1) This section applies if the term of the licence ends before the application is decided. (sec.481-ssec.2) Despite the ending of the term, the licence continues in force until the earlier of the following to happen— the start of any renewed term of the licence; or a refusal of the application takes effect; or the application is withdrawn; or the licence is cancelled under this Act. (sec.481-ssec.3) If the licence is renewed, subsection (2) is taken never to have applied for the period from the end of the term of the licence being renewed, as stated in that licence. - (a) the start of any renewed term of the licence; or - (b) a refusal of the application takes effect; or - (c) the application is withdrawn; or - (d) the licence is cancelled under this Act.
