### sec.385 Grant of petroleum lease does not affect obligation to make safety management system
This section applies if a CSG statement accompanies an application for a petroleum lease, as required under this chapter.
The deciding of the application or the grant of the lease—
does not affect the obligation under section 674 to make a safety management system for any operating plant in the area of the lease; and
is not, of itself, evidence that a safety management system, or purported safety management system, for an operating plant on the area of the petroleum lease complies with section 675 or 705C .

(sec.385-ssec.1) This section applies if a CSG statement accompanies an application for a petroleum lease, as required under this chapter.
(sec.385-ssec.2) The deciding of the application or the grant of the lease— does not affect the obligation under section 674 to make a safety management system for any operating plant in the area of the lease; and is not, of itself, evidence that a safety management system, or purported safety management system, for an operating plant on the area of the petroleum lease complies with section 675 or 705C .
