### sec.180 Key authorised activities
A data acquisition authority authorises its holder to carry out data acquisition activities in the area of the authority.
The authorised activities may be carried out despite the rights of an owner or occupier of land on which they are exercised.
However, the carrying out of the data acquisition activities is subject to—
section 6 ; and
chapter 3 , part 4 , division 2 ; and
chapter 3A , part 5 ; and
chapter 5 ; and
the mandatory and other conditions of the authority; and
any exclusion or restriction provided for in the authority on the carrying out of the activities.
Also, the carrying out of particular activities on particular land in a data acquisition authority’s area may not be authorised following the taking of the land under a resumption law. See section 30AB .

(sec.180-ssec.1) A data acquisition authority authorises its holder to carry out data acquisition activities in the area of the authority.
(sec.180-ssec.2) The authorised activities may be carried out despite the rights of an owner or occupier of land on which they are exercised.
(sec.180-ssec.3) However, the carrying out of the data acquisition activities is subject to— section 6 ; and chapter 3 , part 4 , division 2 ; and chapter 3A , part 5 ; and chapter 5 ; and the mandatory and other conditions of the authority; and any exclusion or restriction provided for in the authority on the carrying out of the activities.
