### sec.7 Provisions of this Act that are provisions of substantive law Provisions of this Act that provide for the kinds of damage, and the amount of damages, that may be recovered by a person, and the provisions of chapter 2 , part 1 , divisions 1 , 1A , 2 and 4 , are provisions of substantive, as opposed to procedural, law. Despite subsection (1) , notice of a claim is to be given in the form approved for a notice of a claim when the notice is given.
