### sec.20J Court may order that certain costs not be recovered
This section applies if the court grants leave to give notice of a claim under section 20H .
The claimant is not entitled to recover any of the following amounts in relation to any period before giving part 1 of the notice of a claim, unless the court orders otherwise—
an amount for costs incurred by the claimant’s parent or legal guardian for medical or other expenses, or legal costs paid or incurred;
an amount for gratuitous services provided by the parent or legal guardian.

(sec.20J-ssec.1) This section applies if the court grants leave to give notice of a claim under section 20H .
(sec.20J-ssec.2) The claimant is not entitled to recover any of the following amounts in relation to any period before giving part 1 of the notice of a claim, unless the court orders otherwise— an amount for costs incurred by the claimant’s parent or legal guardian for medical or other expenses, or legal costs paid or incurred; an amount for gratuitous services provided by the parent or legal guardian.
