### sec.166A Reports about offender
This section applies when the court adjourns the offender’s sentencing.
The court must make an order that the chief executive (corrective services) must—
prepare for the court a report about the offender; and
give the court the report within a stated period.
The court may also order the chief executive (corrective services) to provide or obtain any other report that the court considers appropriate to enable it to impose the proper sentence.
In this section—
report includes an assessment of, or information about, the prisoner.

(sec.166A-ssec.1) This section applies when the court adjourns the offender’s sentencing.
(sec.166A-ssec.2) The court must make an order that the chief executive (corrective services) must— prepare for the court a report about the offender; and give the court the report within a stated period.
(sec.166A-ssec.3) The court may also order the chief executive (corrective services) to provide or obtain any other report that the court considers appropriate to enable it to impose the proper sentence.
(sec.166A-ssec.4) In this section— report includes an assessment of, or information about, the prisoner.

- (b) give the court the report within a stated period.
