### sec.36 Inadmissibility of particular events before the Assembly or a committee
Without limiting sections 8 and 9 , evidence may not be given in any proceeding of an answer given by a person before the Assembly or a committee, or of the fact the person produced a document or other thing to the Assembly or a committee.
However, subsection (1) does not apply to—
a proceeding before the Assembly or a committee of the Assembly; or
a criminal proceeding brought against the person about the falsity, or the misleading, threatening or offensive nature, of the answer, document, or other thing; or
a criminal proceeding brought against the person about the person’s failure to produce a document or thing to, or refusal to answer a question before, the Assembly or a committee.
Subsection (2) applies despite sections 8 and 9 .

(sec.36-ssec.3) Subsection (2) applies despite sections 8 and 9 .
- (a) a proceeding before the Assembly or a committee of the Assembly; or
- (b) a criminal proceeding brought against the person about the falsity, or the misleading, threatening or offensive nature, of the answer, document, or other thing; or
- (c) a criminal proceeding brought against the person about the person’s failure to produce a document or thing to, or refusal to answer a question before, the Assembly or a committee.
