### sec.98 Continuation of appointments
On the commencement of this section, a person holding a position or office under the repealed Act continues as the holder of the equivalent position or office under this Act.
The person’s appointment to the position or office has continuing effect under this Act.
If the appointment was for a term—
the appointment continues under this Act for the unexpired period of the term; and
for applying section 61(2) to the person who, immediately before the commencement of this section, was, under the repealed Act, the parliamentary commissioner, the term of appointment under that Act is taken to be a term of appointment as ombudsman under this Act.
(sec.98-ssec.1) On the commencement of this section, a person holding a position or office under the repealed Act continues as the holder of the equivalent position or office under this Act.
(sec.98-ssec.2) The person’s appointment to the position or office has continuing effect under this Act.
(sec.98-ssec.3) If the appointment was for a term— the appointment continues under this Act for the unexpired period of the term; and for applying section 61(2) to the person who, immediately before the commencement of this section, was, under the repealed Act, the parliamentary commissioner, the term of appointment under that Act is taken to be a term of appointment as ombudsman under this Act.
- (a) the appointment continues under this Act for the unexpired period of the term; and
- (b) for applying section 61(2) to the person who, immediately before the commencement of this section, was, under the repealed Act, the parliamentary commissioner, the term of appointment under that Act is taken to be a term of appointment as ombudsman under this Act.
