### sec.75 Officers not subject to outside direction An officer of the ombudsman is not subject to direction by any person, other than from within the ombudsman office, about— the way the ombudsman’s powers for investigations are to be exercised; or the priority given to investigations; or the way the powers of the inspector of detention services are to be exercised. Subsection (1) (c) applies subject to the Inspector of Detention Services Act 2022 , section 37 . s 75 amd 2022 No. 18 s 86 (sec.75-ssec.1) An officer of the ombudsman is not subject to direction by any person, other than from within the ombudsman office, about— the way the ombudsman’s powers for investigations are to be exercised; or the priority given to investigations; or the way the powers of the inspector of detention services are to be exercised.
