### sec.31 Power of court if noncompliance with investigation requirement This section applies if, without reasonable excuse, a person fails to comply with an investigation requirement. A Magistrates Court, at the request of the ombudsman, may issue a subpoena requiring the attendance of the person before the ombudsman. The Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999 , other than rules 417 , 418 and 420 , apply to the subpoena. See the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999 , chapter 11 , part 4 .
