### sec.17 Application to Supreme Court
This section applies if, in an investigation, a question arises about whether the ombudsman has jurisdiction to conduct the investigation.
The ombudsman may apply to the Supreme Court to decide the question.
The application must be heard in closed court.
This section does not stop applications being made under the Judicial Review Act 1991 by entities whose actions are being investigated or by complainants.
