### sec.196 National parks (scientific) taken to be national parks and special management areas (scientific) On the commencement, the area of each national park (scientific)— continues as a national park under this Act as if it had been dedicated under this Act as a national park; and is taken to be declared under this Act as a special management area (scientific). As soon as practicable after the commencement, the chief executive must— erect or display a notice for the special management area complying with the requirements stated in section 42A(2); and publish a copy of the notice on the department’s website and in the gazette. In this section— national park (scientific) means an area that, immediately before the commencement, was a national park (scientific) under this Act. s 196 ins 2013 No. 55 s 153 (sec.196-ssec.1) On the commencement, the area of each national park (scientific)— continues as a national park under this Act as if it had been dedicated under this Act as a national park; and is taken to be declared under this Act as a special management area (scientific). (sec.196-ssec.2) As soon as practicable after the commencement, the chief executive must— erect or display a notice for the special management area complying with the requirements stated in section 42A(2); and publish a copy of the notice on the department’s website and in the gazette.
