### sch.1-sec.6 Licensee must give buyer notice about statutory warranty
A licensee who sells a warranted vehicle must give the buyer of the vehicle a notice in the approved form—
if the vehicle is sold by auction—immediately after the contract for its purchase is entered into; or
otherwise—before a contract for its purchase is entered into.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
The buyer must acknowledge receipt of the notice by signing a copy of it.
A reference in subsection (1) to the buyer of a warranted vehicle that is sold other than by auction includes a reference to the buyer as the proposed buyer of the vehicle before it is sold.
