### sec.288 Holder to notify owner of grant or renewal of mining lease
The holder of a mining lease must notify each owner of land in the area of the lease of the grant or renewal of the lease.
The notice must be given within 20 business days after the holder receives notice of the grant or renewal.
If the lease is for a purpose mentioned in section 234 (1) (b) , the reference in subsection (1) to the owner of land includes the holder of an exploration permit, mineral development licence or mining lease over the land.
