### sec.4 How main purposes are achieved
The main purposes are achieved by providing for the following matters mainly in this Act, rather than in each of the Resource Acts—
dealings, caveats and associated agreements;
land access;
the framework for overlapping coal and petroleum resource authorities for coal seam gas;
the disqualification from grant or transfer of particular resource authorities;
the resource authority register;
other miscellaneous matters.
It is the intention of Parliament that this Act lead towards the replacement of the Resource Acts with a simplified common framework that will apply to all resource authorities.
