222 Control of Supreme Court over summary convictions
(1) A person brought before the Supreme Court, under a habeas corpus
order or another order, must not be discharged from custody because
any defect or error in a committal order of the Magistrates Court,
unless the court, or the magistrate constituting the court, and the
prosecutor or other party interested in supporting the committal order
have received reasonable and sufficient notice of the intention to
apply for the discharge.
(2) The notice must require them to give to the Supreme Court the
conviction, judgment or order (if any) on which the committal was
founded, together with the depositions and information intended to be
relied on in support of the conviction, judgment or order, or certified
copies of them.
