### sec.56 Changing conditions of key person licence The chief executive may decide to change the conditions of a key person licence if the chief executive considers it necessary or desirable to make the change for the proper conduct of lotteries or otherwise in the public interest. If the chief executive decides to change the conditions of a key person licence, the chief executive must immediately— give the key person licensee— written notice of the changed conditions; and an information notice about the decision; and if the chief executive believes the key person licensee is currently an employee or key operator of a primary licensee—give the primary licensee a copy of the information notice. The key person licensee must return the licence to the chief executive within 7 days of receiving the information notice, unless the licensee has a reasonable excuse. Maximum penalty—40 penalty units. On receiving the licence, the chief executive must— amend the licence in an appropriate way and return the amended licence to the key person licensee; or if the chief executive does not consider it practicable to amend the licence—issue another key person licence, incorporating the changed conditions, to the key person licensee to replace the licence returned to the chief executive. The change of conditions takes effect when the information notice is given to the key person licensee and does not depend on the licence being amended to record the change or a replacement licence being issued.
