### sec.93 Decision on a land owner’s appeal
For an appeal under this division, the Land Court is constituted by 1 member.
The Land Court—
must conduct the appeal with a view to its prompt disposal; and
must observe natural justice; and
is not bound by the rules of evidence.
The Land Court may decide to—
if the appeal is against the decision of the local government not to allow a longer period for giving an objection notice—
allow a longer period for giving an objection notice; or
not allow the appeal; or
if the appeal is against the decision of the chief executive officer on the owner’s objection to the rating category for the land—
change the rating category for the land; or
not allow the appeal.
If the Land Court decides to change the rating category for the land, the rating category is taken to have been changed from the start of the period of the rate notice.
(sec.93-ssec.1) For an appeal under this division, the Land Court is constituted by 1 member.

(sec.93-ssec.3) The Land Court may decide to— if the appeal is against the decision of the local government not to allow a longer period for giving an objection notice— allow a longer period for giving an objection notice; or not allow the appeal; or if the appeal is against the decision of the chief executive officer on the owner’s objection to the rating category for the land— change the rating category for the land; or not allow the appeal.
(sec.93-ssec.4) If the Land Court decides to change the rating category for the land, the rating category is taken to have been changed from the start of the period of the rate notice.
