### sec.297 Improper disclosure of registers of interests
A person must not knowingly disclose information obtained from a register of interests if it is not a true copy, or a fair summary, of the contents of the register of interests.
Maximum penalty—85 penalty units.
A person must not knowingly disclose information obtained from a register of interests of the following persons, other than to a person mentioned in section 293 (3) —
a chief executive officer;
a councillor advisor;
a senior executive employee;
a person who is related to a councillor, chief executive officer, councillor advisor or senior executive employee.
