### sec.127K Cancellation of registration
The agent of a registered third party may ask the electoral commission, in writing, to cancel the third party’s registration for an election.
The electoral commission must cancel the registered third party’s registration for the election if the electoral commission is satisfied that the obligations that apply to the third party for the election under this part have ended.
If the electoral commission cancels the registration, the electoral commission must—
record the cancellation and the day of the cancellation in the register of third parties for the election; and
give the third party notice about the cancellation.
The cancellation takes effect on—
the day the third party receives the notice; or
if a later day is stated in the notice—the stated day.
If the electoral commission refuses to cancel the registration, the electoral commission must give the registered third party a notice stating the electoral commission’s decision and reasons for the decision.
