### sec.127D Requirement for registration
A third party must be registered under this part for an election if the electoral expenditure incurred by, or with the authority of, the third party during the capped expenditure period for the election exceeds $6,000.
To remove any doubt, it is declared that a third party does not commit an offence against this Act or another Act only because the third party fails to register for an election under subsection (1) .
Under section 123O , a third party that is not registered for an election commits an offence if it incurs electoral expenditure of more than $6,000 during the capped expenditure period for the election.
