### sec.251 Evidentiary value of certificates
This section applies to a certificate that—
purports to be about the state of, or a fact in, a record of the local government; and
purports to be signed by the chief executive officer.
Also, this section applies to a certificate that—
purports to be about the state of, or a fact in, a record of a joint local government; and
purports to be signed by the chairperson of the joint local government.
The certificate is evidence of the matters contained in the certificate.

(sec.251-ssec.1) This section applies to a certificate that— purports to be about the state of, or a fact in, a record of the local government; and purports to be signed by the chief executive officer.
(sec.251-ssec.2) Also, this section applies to a certificate that— purports to be about the state of, or a fact in, a record of a joint local government; and purports to be signed by the chairperson of the joint local government.
(sec.251-ssec.3) The certificate is evidence of the matters contained in the certificate.
- (a) purports to be about the state of, or a fact in, a record of the local government; and
- (b) purports to be signed by the chief executive officer.
