### sec.250 Evidentiary value of copies
This section applies to a copy of a document that—
purports to be made under the authority of a local government or its mayor; and
purports to be verified by the mayor or an employee who is authorised by the local government.
Also, this section applies to a copy of a document that—
purports to be made under the authority of a joint local government or its chairperson; and
purports to be verified by the chairperson or an employee who is authorised by the joint local government.
The copy of the document is evidence in any proceedings as if the copy were the original of the document.

(sec.250-ssec.1) This section applies to a copy of a document that— purports to be made under the authority of a local government or its mayor; and purports to be verified by the mayor or an employee who is authorised by the local government.
(sec.250-ssec.2) Also, this section applies to a copy of a document that— purports to be made under the authority of a joint local government or its chairperson; and purports to be verified by the chairperson or an employee who is authorised by the joint local government.
(sec.250-ssec.3) The copy of the document is evidence in any proceedings as if the copy were the original of the document.
