### sec.150EK Councillor must not participate in decisions
If a councillor has a prescribed conflict of interest in a matter, the councillor must not participate in a decision relating to the matter.
Contravention of this section is misconduct that could result in disciplinary action being taken against a councillor—see section 150L (1) (c) (iv) . Also, this section is a relevant integrity provision for the offence against section 201D —see section 201D (2) , definition relevant integrity provision .
However, the councillor does not contravene subsection (1) by participating in the decision under an approval given under section 150EV .

(sec.150EK-ssec.1) If a councillor has a prescribed conflict of interest in a matter, the councillor must not participate in a decision relating to the matter. Contravention of this section is misconduct that could result in disciplinary action being taken against a councillor—see section 150L (1) (c) (iv) .
